In 30 years of diverse real estate finance experience, equity investment, management, marketing, and development, Calvin Axtell has financed, acquired, developed, and disposed of more than $2.0 billion in real estate assets.
Financial Structuring
Mr. Axtell is a principal of Veritas Medical Properties, LLC where he works with capital providers and facility occupants to establish business and financial structures for medical real estate development. After a 20-year career at the credit subsidiary of a Fortune 200 company, Mr. Axtell formed Gap Equity Partners, LLC. As the managing member of Gap Equity Partners, he provided advisory services to real estate developers, owners, and equity investors in the acquisition and development of real estate projects. This work included equity placement and lessee credit analysis that focused on single tenant net lease property development or acquisitions.
Investment Projects
As Executive Vice President of the credit subsidiary, Mr. Axtell founded the company's Real Estate Services Group. He led this group in investing over $200 million of equity in projects totaling in excess of $1.5 billion of assets. In addition to leading the Real Estate Services Group, Mr. Axtell handled portfolio management and workouts for the Corporation’s Properties Group and Savings and Loan. He and his team managed and liquated $400 million of assets in these two companies.
Commercial and Apartment Leasing
Calvin was owner and President of Greycliffe Management Company. Greycliffe managed and leased over 2 million square feet of commercial space and 2,000 apartment units. Before starting Greycliffe, Calvin was CFO at an architectural firm, and a partner in its sister company, an apartment developer.

Extensive Experience
Steve Cole has over 27 years experience in commercial real estate development, acquisition, construction and property management of properties totaling over 60 million square feet.
Property Development
As a co-owner of Veritas Medical Properties LLC, Mr. Cole manages the team that designs, develops and constructs medical properties. For six years with a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust, Mr. Cole acted as Director of Development, and was directly responsible for over $400 million of commercial development and $200 million of acquisitions. His development responsibilities included building a department at a company with no prior development experience into the first developer to break ground on a multi-tenant high-rise office building in downtown Houston since 1986.
Sales and Asset Management
For ten years, Mr. Cole worked for a national property development and management company where he became a Senior Vice President and was responsible for the asset management of 36 million square feet of Class A office space. He managed a staff of over 300, including 45 property managers in twelve states. Steve also played the key role in developing the company’s third-party management business which grew from a start-up operation to a portfolio of over 10 million square feet in three years. He was integral in selling and servicing a major facilities management contract of 4 million square feet in over 400 locations for a top five banking organization that included developing a comprehensive facilities management program.
Mixed-Use Property Management
While with a local investor in Houston, Texas, Steve managed all aspects of a 1.3 million square foot mixed use development that included office, retail, and a Four Seasons Hotel.
Education
Steve holds a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin and is recognized by the Institute of Real Estate Management as Certified Property Manager, and is a licensed real estate salesman.
